Showtime at US Finals & Worlds
Dippers and Gemini finished the season at US Finals in Cincinnati. Dippers had some timing issues with the ending pyramid on their way to a 10th place finish. Gemini had a couple performance errors and finished in 2nd place.
Galaxy finished the season at the Cheerleading Worlds in Orlando. Galaxy competed in a the International Junior All Girl division with 30 teams and earned a 10th place finish. Galaxy had a strong performance, but had a few too many mistakes given the level of competition.
We are proud of all of our team finishes and look forward to starting a new season.

US Finals & Worlds Schedules

The US Finals general schedule has been put up. Dippers’ session is 12:45-2:45pm and Gemini’s session is 7:15-10:15pm. The website says the performance order will be posted 1 week before the event. The spectator fee for the competition is $15 per adult and $10 for children (4-12) and senior citizens (55+).
The Worlds general schedule has been posted. Galaxy’s division (International Junior All Girl) is scheduled for 6-9:40pm on Saturday and 9-10am on Sunday. Both days are at the Josten’s Center meaning you will not need to buy a Disney park hopper just to watch the cheer competition. (You would need a park pass to watch dance).

Showtime Team Pictures
Filed under: General Information, Showtime Parent Information
Showtime team pictures are scheduled for Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the gym. Times for teams are as follows:
- 8:30 am – Dippers
- 9:15 am – Gemini
- 10:30 am – Galaxy
- 11:45 am – Polaris
We are starting early in case the teams need to practice later that day.
The plan is to take the team photo first for each group and then follow with individual shots for the girls on that team. For the team photo, we ask that everybody wears their hair half up with the team bow on top of the head. For your individual photo, feel free to wear your hair any way you like! You may wear your make up anyway you like for both photos.
Photos must be pre-ordered and checks are the preferred form of payment. Cash will be accepted, but change will be limited. Credit cards will not be accepted. Packages are reasonably priced and there are some options to buy some extra “fun” items.
If you have any other questions about team photos, please let us know.

Coastal Results
Showtime Spirit Dippers, Gemini, and Galaxy competed at Coastal Corporation’s Kickin’ Kentucky Open on February 21st at the Lexington Center. The Dippers competed in the 6-team Mini Level 1 division and came away with a 5th place finish. Gemini competed against the United Talent Shamrocks in the Large Junior Level 3 division, earning the championship by putting on their best performance of the season. Galaxy competed against the score sheet due to a late withdrawal from Spirit of Kentucky, and finished with the highest score of the competition.
Haley, the young lady injured during Galaxy’s performance, will be okay. I spoke with her mother as I was leaving the competition and was told she was about to be released from the hospital. Haley will not be participating for at least a week, but will be returning to the team soon.
